Should I By An X-Terra 70 or 705 ?

Danno, You don't know what you are talking about with the X-terra! It is not ordinary by any means. It more advanced technology packed into it than the etrac or the whites for what it was designed to do. Also it is a suppurb detector for prospecting for gold nuggets. If you don't actually use this detector for prospecting, then you are simple ignorant and judgemental regarding what it can or cannot do. It will take on any of the Goldbugs, the Eureka Gold with ease and blow oaway all the other VLF gold machines with no problems. It will find gold down just under 1 grain is size, while blocking out iron, steel trash. You can run the Iron mask at max setting without looseing these tiny pieces of gold. Can yours do that!!!!!! You can wipe out the hots rocks with the ground balance offset and achieve a smooth threshhold. Can yours do that? Pictures attached to prove what I am saying.

My X-70 air tests almost exactly the same as my X-705 in air tests with the stock coil.

Both machines go deeper then my air tests in the real world. Mild soil and freshwater beach.

Getting silver dimes at 11" deep strong signal, correct target ID #'s in the sand!

I couldn't believe it, but I keep on going back to the same spot with the same success.

In the field MAYBE the 705 goes slightly deeper than my 70. Only had the 705 for 4 weeks(the 70 for 1 year) so I'm not sure yet.

I do love both machines!

Good Hunting

Denny

Posted above message earlier to wrong "subject".
This is where it belongs.

The jury is still out for me comparing response time and recovery between the two machines,
but I just got the 6" HF DD coil and the separation, response, recovery is fantastic with it.
