SHOUT OUT to Mike Hillis

YUP! the F5 is one fine kick - - - detector I liked mine I upgraded to GB Pro lot of same features as F5 almost.Keep it up your doing great!

Neita, being out for 20 years is a long time for sure but believe it or not we are still finding stuff today. Silver coins are tough to find in parks anymore but deep detectors are doing it. I dropped out around 1993 because parks weren't producing as much as they did in the 70's and I thought there is little left to find. Old coins aren't being lost anymore but people lose jewelry every day so there we have constant replenishment, and the jewelry is shallow. When I got back in 5 years ago I focused on gold jewelry and found plenty, mostly ladies gold rings and gold chains. After 3 years I switched to old coins but am not doing too well there and may go back to parks for jewelry. The old stuff in parks got thinned out but there is places to search other than parks, just gotta keep your eyes peeled.

believe it or not!.the stuff is STILL there!..it's in the junk!
get a detector with a digital "fast" processor, and go back to your old sites!
you WILL be surprised!..also,take along a small coil too,as it helps with separation!

Thx guys for the info and encouragement. And I am listening to all the advice. I hit a virgin play lot on the way home and after 3 hours I pulled 8 Quarters, 17 Dimes, 6 Nickles, 51 pennies, a golf token and a few misc trinkets. All new coinage, but still fun.....except for my frozen fingers once the sun went down.

Sounds like you are doing very well to me!
