Give it some more time, those tabs that you dug and he didn't could have been gold rings.
I use a Tejon to evaluate a new site and then drag out the SE, both are great in the iron.
Remember too that he can hunt faster and cover more overall ground with his Tesoro than you can with the SE ... it is what it is!
