The homeless guys coming to the Gospel Rescue Mission where I volunteer sure have increased ove the last few years. When I started there 7 years ago we got about 20 guys in the summer (daily) and about 50 in the winter.
Now we get about 50-60 in the summer months and 70 or more in the winter. Last night we checked in about 65 guys - and it's not even cold yet.
I think the poor economy must have some effect on this. Keep your local Missions in mind when you donate as you can. They get absolutely no government money. Steve in so az

Thanks for volunteering! :) Well done!

Thanks Steve and I will be sure to donate to the missions who take care of the homeless and poor here in my area! May God bless each one and take care of them with their needs provided for!

God Bless!

MIssoula 3:16, an outreach to the street people here in Missoula and is one of our regulars we support monthly. Four years ago before we were married, we barely had enough to make it. Since the time we first met the Lord has continued to bless us far more than we could have ever expected or deserved enabling us to provide for many.

Somehow a small village in Kenya heard of our local program and asked to permission to use their village name with the 3:16 and invited one of the founders from here to join them at their village about 3 weeks ago. Pam came home and invited Barb and I out to her office about 2 miles from where I live and told us about her experience there. She had tears in her eyes most of the time she was talking about.

This Sunday a gentleman from that mission in Africa is going to speak at a church down the street from mine.

Forgive me for sounding like I'm blowing my horn, I'm not. The blessings Barbara and I have been given are NOT for us, we don't need them, it is meant for us to pass along and we do. Neither of us like to be out front or want to be out front. We keep a low profile wherever we are.

All sad signs for sure.

According to the Bible it is to be and what God says will come to pass, for His Word is true!
