Silver Bracelet

Dug up a silver Bracelet this morning
925 Italy
KA 1772
Omega
11 inch coil
sensitivity 95
reading 61-62 ( not jumpy )
Ground Phase 62
1 inch deep
I like those non jumpy signals

Good recovery...hope it is silver. The reading doesn't seem high enough for silver. I found a pretty good size ring that was marked 925 Italy, but it read in the low edge of the zinc range with my F 75. Decided to have it checked and it was not silver. A few years back I found a heavy gold chain marked 14K Italy. It was in deep grass and when I picked it up, it just didn't have that great gold look. As it turned out, it wasn't gold, but a fake, probably sold as gold. Maybe the links gave the bracelet a lower reading?? Hope it is silver. HH jim tn

You mean someone might put 925 on it to fake it?
I just cant believe anyone in the world would do such a thing!

are you kiddin' me!..take a boat ride to the "orient"
"'fake" anything!..just sayin!

(h.h.!)

I was also suprised it didn't go into the 90's...But here's the deal. For some reason when a detector scans a link chain it only reads an individual link-not the sum of the metal in the chain. hence the low VDI reading. If it is tightly wadded up then it will ring higher. But stretched out under the grass it just gets a link for a sample.

This is what makes gold chains so elusive & nbest found in all metal.

Nice find !!!

I have a small native american solid silver bracelet...approx 1/2 ounce sterling..........its real.........not from the ground......guess what....it VDI's in the 58-64 range on my T2 when angled a certain way. Or into the low 80's........depending on the angle/distance to the search coil.
But that is not to say the other poster's are not correct about fakes..........its a real problem these days......and since it was only 1" deep.....I would have it checked for purity.

nice find, hope its real

Its about like a 14 ga. wire..sterling..VID as a dime, I was stabbing around trying to find a dime, and after several missed probes, usually its a silver ring, but nope, a little fine wire bracelet.
