Silver Dime and a Button

Not much to report today...only hunt day this weekend, since I had to pull a 13 hour day at work yesterday. Such is the nature of IT...server upgrades have to be done outside working hours. :(

So we hit this old farmhouse today...mostly in the yard, since the fields were nearly 100% clean. The yard was an iron infested nightmare but between the SE I was using and my hunt friend Ina using my CZ-70, we were able to each pull a few good targets. I got a '54 Rosie and a button. Pics:

Anybody ID this? A little bigger than a quarter...sounded SWEET!

Interesting button Mike,
did the numbers have you expecting something else?

Snowy

It was a 00-29 and it was deep, so I was thinking (and hoping) that it was a Large Cent or a nice silver coin...something 1800's or better. But I'll take it. I like unique finds like that.

Nice button Mike....I have no Idea as to ID but it sure looks nice...I only got to hunt Friday afternoon & today a little...Had to go to a memorial service yesterday...I did manage a 39 merc fri. & a 48 quarter today...HH...TT

Gee, I dunno, but for a while there "4F" meant unfit for military service. I'm assuming that's not what this one signifies!

I said the same exact thing, but in that case they didn't give 'em guns I don't think!

Actually, got my answer on the Findmall Relic forum...it's WW1, 4th Regiment, F company.
