Silver from bone dry ground

born2hunt

New member
My pal Charlie and I hit a nice old park today but the ground was very dry which made the SE a little chatty but I did manage a few clads and the only silver between us. Charlie actually beat me on dates with a 1912 wheatie.

Nice find

Congrats on the barber !!

SWEEEEET!
I'll take the silver!:clapping:

Nice finds. As the ground gets drier you tend to get more ground EMI, both heard and unheard. Ive noticed that in spots i hunt... it tends to increase.

It seems to me on my etrac when the ground is dry my machine runs a lot quieter, and silver just screams out, is the explorer different?

Goes4ever, no i think you are correct about the chatter being less during the dry months especially from mineralization. I was referring to some locations i can hunt in the spring and fall.... but during the summer there is so much EMI that i cant even hunt the area. Its not as much about the moisture perhaps as it is the increased electrical use from underground cables.
