Silver givin as paper............

I wanted to share this one because I have never had this happen before. I went to a local truck stop to get gas before heading out to do a little detecting and ended up landing my only silver of the day in the change I received. Only it was was not a dime, quarter or 50 cent piece. It was a silver certificate! I think someone really needed a pack of smokes or possibly even gas. I have not ever received one of these in circulation. Its not a pretty one but, its silver...... Well kind of. :lmfao: Thanks for looking....

Well??? What were your settings? Auto or Manual Sesitivity? How much discrimination? How deep? These are the things we need to know if we're going to be successful...:clapping:

Thanks for the pictures and the story. Every once in awhile something old and interesting still turns up in our change....

Howdy,
Take that silver Certificate and Iron it (use some water mabey some startch) ...It will straighten it up a bit and make it much more presentable. If you are uncertain take a regular dollar and try it first.

good luck

Hi guys,

Kurt the date is a 1935 C.

Neb, as far as the settings....... I broke into the Minelab top secret base in Roswell NM. I found the plans for the etrac, cracked my case and adjusted the flex capacitor. It now excepts paper silver. I did not have time to add the gold magnet to the coil though. The alarm started going off. So sad! lol :detecting:

I concur. Iron it with a warm iron. (low setting)
