Silver jewelry

Im wondering if anyone knew what kind of jewelry this is...at first i thought earring, but then someone on another forum mentioned that it looks like a tie ring? Any idea on the approximate age of this piece? I found it about 4" down on the football field of a HS that was built c. 1929. I can't tell if the coloring on the piece is tarnish, or if it was gold plating. I don't know if those are diamonds. I doubt it, with the setting being .925, but I will get them tested tomorrow. any input is valuable and appreciated.
GL, and HH!

The jeweler that I took it to told me that it looked like a pendant that was maybe 15-20 years old, and the stones aren't diamond(according to her eyeball appreciation).

A pendant would represent something. That does not represent something so it would be a trinket in my book, just saying.

YES, real diamonds were put in silver! I have a smashed honker of a silver ring that has 30 small rhinestones/diamonds mixture on it, only 5 are real diamonds. Do NOT accept eyeball I.D.'s......NGE

A electronic diamond testor should be your guide...

I got my tester in, and theyre not diamonds...I did, however find. Gold plated silver ring with real diamond chips in it
