Hit a spot that I hadn't ever hunted much do to it always being un-mowed. And I mean un-mowed. Often the grass is 6" to a foot high. It is a low traffic area and doesn't apparently get the usual grooming that the other fields do. Anyway, started hitting clad right off, mostly 70's and 80's, but some State quarters, too. Finally, about an hour into the 3 1/2 hour hunt I hit a wheat cent and then in short order, a 56 Rosie. A few more clads came along and then a 47 Rosie, 2 wheats, more clad and the last target on the way to the car was another 56 Rosie. Been a while again since I've nailed 3 silvers on an outing. The wheat cents were 18, 54 and 55. I had the 10" concentric on the Omega as I had used that coil over the weekend. The site, though, needs a DD coil as there is quite a bit of iron. Was able to run sen 99 without one iota of chatter and disc 1 and d3 tones. G B was 71 -73 on this stretch of ground. A little higher then is the norm. HH jim tn
