Silver Quarter and Wheat Pennies

pplinker

New member
Short hunt this morning at a site where I had previously found a silver quarter. After a couple of junk items, I got a nice hit and lifted the sod back on its hinge. The quarter was on the bottom of the sod and I could just see the edge of a white looking circular piece. I got my thumb nail under it and wiggled it out, and there is a nice shiny Washington quarter. Then I kept digging pennies and one after the other would be wheat pennies for a total of 6 wheats. Had to be someplace, so I quit will go back some other time. Thanks for looking.

Nice hunt pplinker! Isn't it an exhilarating feeling to see those "white discs" at the bottom of the hole?? Best of luck and...

Happy Hunting!
