silver quarter dry spell is OVER!!!!!!!!!!

I know in its own right this is not a spectacular find but to me it represents an end to a LONG dry spell. Embarassing as it is, it has been probably at least 4 years or more since a have found a silver quarter. I have found many dimes from roosies to seated and even have a walking half but the quarter has been hiding.

Well, my wife's uncle has been wanting me to take him out hunting so we went to a local park I have pounded many times with the Explorer XS and SE Pro. Weather was bad, rained all last night and was threatening today but we did get a little window of time in the cold. I was only finding some clad when about 2 hours into the hunt in an area I have been over MANY times I get that sweet sound. Read a solid 12-47 on the E-Trac but it never crossed my mind that it would be a quarter because I just dont find those:wacko:

From 7 inches down comes this beauty. Thanks E-trac!!!!!!!!!!

You don't think the E-Trac is that good do you? After all breaking a FOUR year dry spell with only a few ours on your new E-Trac is saying a lot. Just jerking your chain and when you hit that Barber or Seated Quarter you will be getting it jerked real hard :rofl:Keep the posts coming for all to share,Ray.

I got my silver quarter last summer too that has been 3 years since the last one. I got 3 walker half's a couple years ago, but not any silver quarters, Got a half the year before too, but no silver quarters. I used to get 10-20 silver quarters a year and thought it was odd I just couldn't find one, but did last year with my E-Trac.
It seems like when you find one others will follow shortly afterwards. This is what happen when i wanted to find a walking lib half back in the 70s when I started detecting. I got 2 very nice barber half's in one week, then another that year, then 2 Franklin's the next year and finally my first walker in a well worked ball Field. Then after that I got 5 more that year so it seems once you get the coin you are looking for for a while then others will follow shortly.

Good luck and hope it hold true for you as you maybe posting many more silver quarters in the next little while.
