how good is a silver sabre compared to the more modern tesoro's? i currently have a vaquero and a compadre,which i use constantly, but i have the chance to aquire a one owner used silver sabre.do you all think i should pursue the matter or has it had it's day. the item appears to be in mint condition.i'm not worried about warranty.what were they mainly used for-general detecting or gold. hh. see ya! blowfly

Don't have any personal experience, but I know they were well thought of when they came out. I'm 99% certain they'll take any of the umax coils if that makes a difference to you. If the price is right, I'd probably go for it.
