Silver today!....

Hit the place I have been getting the wheats and some silver again. Pulled 8 more wheats including a 1909 VDV. No "S" but still only my 2nd ever VDB. Also got a 1941 S Merc, a 1949 nickel, and another nickel that looks like someone hit it with a hammer or??? While cleaning I noticed some silver color showing through. It appears to be a silver war nickel. I can make out 194? and what looks like a "P" above the capitol building. I think it is a 44. So it looks like a 2 silver day! Also got some clad and some doo-dads. The VDB letters sure are small. Hope you can see them.

It's always a special joy finding silver isn't it Mike. Know what bums me out about coin hunting? Finding 1965 quarters...ha! Can't tell you how many times (hundreds maybe) that I've dug those '65 quarters thinking it was a '64. Maybe next time out? Congratulations my friend. Glad you could get out again.
