silver, wheats, ring, gun, and more

well lost my job yesterday so I thought if I detected some today I might feel better...lol

I have been meaning to detect this yard of my friends but just never got there. I only had 2 hours, and think I just may need to go back.

First thing I found was the 1925 Merc, then the wheats, got a bit of clad, a fake ring, all the beads were entangled up with the ring. Jewelry spill?....lol

got a cool toy gun, broken spoon, and a neat antique broach. You can see on the back when the pin has broke off.

It made me feel a bit better to get out and play in the dirt.

Glad you were able to get out and enjoy yourself! I wanted to tell you that you and your family are still in my prayers. I know what you are going through. When Tim and I were first married, and for the next few years, he was frequently laid off - and it was HARD for us... and on HIM. After that he worked regularly for the next several years, THEN, in 2000, the steel mill he worked at closed down. We lost his income, our insurance, vacation pay that the workers were supposed to get, all of the profit shares that the steel plant refused to pay (and got away with because they filed bankruptcy), and we found out that they had not even matched the 401k money that they were supposed to be matching and we lost that too. As far as anything Tim was bringing in, retirement funds, or any benefits he had, we lost it all. Those were some VERY hard times for us. Tim felt the same way you do. So when I say that I understand what you're going through... believe me! I UNDERSTAND! My heart aches for you and your family and I will continue to pray for you! Just hang in there! There WILL be brighter days! We were blessed in that our house, both pieces of land, vehicles, and everything else was already paid off. We also had my income and that made it easier for us. Many families lost everything they had. Try to rest in the Lord during this time. Get out and do some digging and try to enjoy your time off while God works on your behalf. Let the Grace of God carry you through and give you peace. I will definitely continue to pray for God to comfort you, provide for you, and open the doors that need to be opened for you to get back to work, or to find another job.

I guess the bad thing is, my wife's job is VERY low paying (8 bucks/hour) and I had all the insurance for all of us.

Praying for you goes4ever and God will take care of you and yours! Enjoy :detecting: while the weather is still warm enough and hope you find something very good and expensive to help you with the money you need or will be needing!

Sorry to hear about your and your hubby's situation, Lisa, but when times get tough and lean....we still have Jesus to give us strength, encouragement and guidance to keep our heads above water. I know what it is to live on very little, for when my ex left, I was very ill emotionally and physically and all I got from him was $300 per month to live on and make ends meet, but you know that is when I drew closer to God and then I worked for the Temps and a full time job for awhile. Still lived on $300 a month from 1988 to Dec. 97, until I drawed my SS at age 62 and then nothing from my ex after he retired Jan 1998.

So, I know how difficult it is but I only had myself to take care of although I paid for my youngest daughter's dr. bills for awhile as she didn't have any ins either....our dr cut the bills until I started drawing Medicare and then she didn't take the Ins I had then and I had to change drs.

In trials we grow and draw closer to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, or we should anyway! God Bless!
