1st post in a while, been under the weather, but got out yesterday to a beanfield that was a fairground until 1935. The owner said it was hunted back in the 80s but I could try. It wasn't 10 min & popped out a 1903 barber at no more than 2 in. Next good signal out came the 1838 seated then I dug 2 V nickels In same hole 1897 & 1906 Then came the other 1903 barber, then the 1919 Merc.Of course I also was digging some normal junk to.I dug 2 wheats & a 1917 buff. It was getting late & I wanted to get one more silver to break my best of 4. I got a little chirp & it sounded high but real iffy,It was choppy , but I to check it out. Pin pointed off the toe of my coil Dug down 10 in & found a flat piece of metal. After I pulled that out Irechecked the hole. Now i had a pretty nice signal Down about 2 more in I saw the edge. I just about crapped Its pretty worn , But its pretty to me!!!!
that is Awsome.
Finding them Big Ole Silver Dollars sure is a hard task to do now days and if that spot has 1.......there could be Sisters! One thing about Worn Silver Dollars is that it just goes to show you how many times that Coin changed hands before it was lost back then. Both my Silver Dollars are that worn too and I think I would rather have a nice worn out one than a nice one, just adds a little more to the ole collection!
Nice job and WTG with the Barbers and Seated. Must be a very Old Fairgrounds for it to have a Seated Dime back that far. Very nice Barber Dime as well! I'd be going back ASAP and hitting that spot hard because there is definately more goodies waiting for you on your return trip. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH to you.

Thanks for all your replies Will be heading back there tomarrow GL & HH to all
