Simplex Ultra or Double Score

It kind of miffs me when folks ask such a question and here I am doing the same. Finally, the opportunity to move back to my old stomping grounds has come to fruition. Currently, I am running the Legend and I like it. But, as a present to myself for moving, I feel I need a new machine. I will purchase one of the two machines listed above. Based on your experience with either machine what would be your suggestion? Thanks. It has been almost 3 years since I swung the detector and I feel giddy.

I haven’t used either but maybe this will help. A good fiend had all three. He said the ultra was great but a lot like a single freq legend. The DS was very different from the legend. He kept the DS and sold the ultra.

Muddy, I will keep my D. Score and sell a new Xterra and the Ultra. That's how much I like the score. My Noxes and D2 are gone. Simply too complicated for an old man.

I sold my legend as it was too complicated for me. Love my new Double Score. Multi frequency by a mile!

Agree! I look at it this way, the Double Score is a Legend that won't give you a migraine with all the " tweekers" but it's also a multi frequency Simplex.

Treasurechic, you hit it right on. A very good machine that has want I want in a detector. Once in a while I'll just turn it on and go.
