simplex under water with wireless headphones

is there a way to use the simplex underwater with the wireless headphones up to shoulder depth keeping the headphones out of the water and still hear through the headpnones?
i tried and as soon as water touches the metal coil connector the phones cut out.
 
No. The control box can’t be submerged.
