So I know things I can't do and not supposed to do...like shovel snow or run the snowblower, rake snow off the roof, take out the trash, and all those things a guy is supposed to do. So been sitting and trying to put up with the pain in the knee. To fight boredom, I installed Linux and have been playing around with it. Watching Leelan growing up in our living room. And decided it is time to learn to play an electronic piano or electronic keyboard. Both are lightweight and there is no room in this house for a big piano. I was going to learn before....Sherry had another keyboard and we left that with the other church when we left that church to be closer to home. Then my Mother-in-law has an electronic piano that sounds beautiful...but it is hers. We have a Radio Shack electronic keyboard we bought some time back but didn't have a power supply for it...we have one now but Sherry would like to leave it at church so we don't have to haul her monster electronic keyboard to church (had to get a dolly and put padding on it, etc.....that's how bulky and heavy it is). Sherry doesn't want me to be hauling it back and forth to church and hurting myself further. That is HER BABY and I want her to enjoy it.
I just put an ad in a couple freecycle places to see if anyone has an electronic keyboard or electronic piano taking up space and gathering dust that they would care to give to me. Being out of work now sure makes it hard to keep up with expenses but God is meeting our needs. To keep from driving Sherry nuts, I figured I would learn to play the keyboard we will be taking to the church until we take it there - probably Sunday.
At least playing a piano I will be able to continue sitting and not hurting my knee and do something useful - like learn to play some Christian music. Hoping God meets this 'well guess it isn't a need'.

STRANGE thing is:When I was young;my parents paid for accordian lessons for me-AND I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT!!!
:veryangry:
...The hours' practice every day,scales...There were times my mother had to threaten me with great bodily harm to pick up that squeeze-box.THEN my sister taught me the chords on the guitar later;and my acoustic 6-string guitars have been the loves of my life!!GO FIGURE!!!
