Wondering is it worth it! Well I 30 ft up I have my scent blocker camo gear on, away from home and I have gas lol, so the scent blocker not worker 100% oh well I much rather be detecting! Cheers!

At 17 degrees, if that's what it is there now, the deer won't smell anything but smoke and, being that you're 30 foot in the air, they probably won't smell that either, if it's coming from you. However, having said all that, deer do have incredibly good eye sight, as well as sense of smell. I hope you wore your long jons!

Actually it will get near 40 today. Supposed to be above freezing for a week. Strange weather all over!

It was 27 degrees with frost on my beard and didn't see anything, my son was with me and we were both freezing but we were building memories .martin I had the long johns on carhart gear but nothing beats being in a warm house, plus we rode the 4 wheelers get to the stand but it was all good,HHH

Hey Hank,

Those of us living in the North Country have learned to dress in loose fitting layers to beat the cold. Carharts may stop the wind but do little to stop the cold.

Thanks for the useful tip will upgrade on my gear!

Hang in there Hank, we did very good this year at deer camp. 5 deer the first week, all bucks
