Six Hour Beach Hunt on the Texas Gulf Coast!

Just got back from the beach , 6 hour hunt and body is soar as hell, got a sunburn and just plain tired, like they say, no pain no gain. Took my GTI-1500 and AT-PRO. Both rings hit in the high 60 range, neither one is real 🤨, but nice rings anyhow. Buying another detector this month, wife not very happy, oh well, that’s life. I’m not sure, thinking either the Nokta Legend or Garrett AT-MAX, Cannot believe the depth with the AT-MAX in all metal mode, Crazy. Gotta go and take a nap!
TRIPLE-SSS.
How does it do in dry dirt ?Is the detector a 18 khz detector?Thank you.

Nice finds, Triple SSS. When the going gets tough, the tough take a nap.

little late with replies, but if you are going to beach hunt, personally i'd get a multi-freq machine. If you want to stick with Garrett, the apex or if you want to try something different get the legend or manticore

Hi, Do have a multi frequency detector and use it in local parks ball fields etc… I know that the general consensus is that the multi- frequency detectors are best in salty beach conditions. To be honest with you, do not really have any problems on the beach with the Max. I used the At-Pro for years before purchasing the Max and they both perform great in wet and dry beach sand. In the water is where you have a problem and would not recommend. You have to play with the settings to get it dialed in correctly. The Max has incredible depth and I would put it up against any high in detector.
Just an FYI
