Weekend started out good but just couldn't keep the finds coming like I wanted them too. The finds I did make are good ones none the less and I just hope to continue pulling Silver as long as I can, even if the Quantity is or isn't there, Silver's Silver! Tim and I decided to try a different Town this weekend and we found a Small Park before Rick and his wife Lavonne met up with us. I found 2 Wheat Pennies and then the 3rd Signal I dug, out pop's a Silver. At first, I thought a Quarter but when I picked it out of the dirt, it was a Walker which shocked me some but that morning I had a Strong Feeling that I was going to pull another Half for the month and I was right.Tim pulled a Standing Liberty Quarter dateless of course, and then we left in hopes of Rick finding Silver here since we knew there was at least a chance. Rick didn't find any Silver but he had fun anyways. Tim had a Merc and some Wheat Pennies and if he had any other finds, I am unsure what they were. Lavonne found I believe a few Wheat Pennies and a Bank Token and a lot of Newer Pocket Change. Just to let you all know, so far I have pulled 5 Halves now since July 20th with Tim having 6 Halves for this month's finds for our next Club Meeting. This has been a Month that will never be forgotten, that is for sure. Onto what else I found this weekend. For Silver, I found another 5 which included 1 Walking Liberty Half Dollar dated 1917-s (Mint Mark on reverse and if I was to find a 1917 Plain, then I would have every one except the Obverse Varieties), 3 Mercury Dimes dated 1918,1920, and 1942, along with another Roosevelt Dime dated 1952-s. I also recovered 2 Indian Head Pennies dated 1900 and 1902. For Wheat Pennies, I found 18 more to add to the HUGE PILE that I have found this month alone. The dates are 09,11,15-d,18,(2)27-d,(2)28,30-d,36,36-d,39,41-d,(2)44-d,(2)45-d, and 48-d. I also found a few Misc. Items which are a Grimland Play Coin, 2 Pins with one having Life Saving Senior on it, and an old Cuff Link. That's the finds this last weekend, so enjoy and I hope to keep pulling them Silver's until Freeze-Up which will be here sooner than one would like. Good Luck and HH to you all.[attachment 65618 Silver.jpg][attachment 65622 IndianHeads.jpg][attachment 65623 WheatPennies.jpg][attachment 65625 Misc..jpg]

"Slim Pickens" and his brother "Slimmer Pickens" work for me, period! If you want proof, look at what you posted and my finds below. I'm a close blood relation to the "Pickens", so don't envoke their name on my behalf!

Sincerely,

Little Pickens

Just takes new spots that have age to them that you have never detected before to make more finds than on a usual outing. I am just glad to find more Keepers and to not get Skunked. There is always finds out there, just have to be Lucky to swing your Coil over them and being in the right area at the right time also helps. Wish you better Success, Good Luck and HH Holedigger.:detecting:

So there really isn't much to worry about unless of course there is a DIE HARD Detectorist in your area that can take that kind of Heat. Also, when it is Cooler, one tends to enjoy themselves more and also concentrate better thus making more finds. Hope the weather cools off for you soon and look forward to your next post as well. Good Luck and HH.
