Small coil for T2

cx3

New member
I just ordered a 5" DD coil for my T2, I was wondering how much depth do you loose?

Not much, if any....

I can get a slight hit on a quarter buried at 11" in AM wide open. There is no way a 4.75" coil should be able to do this but it does. I think you will get all the depth you need with it. I assume you will be using it in places you have already hunted with the big coil?

The first place I used mine is a yard that was once a cavalry camp. I have personally hunted it until there is almost nothing left. I have hunted it with the T2, an F75, an Explorer SE, a SovereignGT, a Tejon, a Cortes, an E-TRAC and have hit it some with a V3... the T2 with the small coil found me a small caliber bullet the first time out there... in an area I have been over and over. It was about 6" down. The ground is horrible there with iron ore and full of cut square nails and canslaw. I was impressed and i'm sure you will be too. It will re-open some sites for you.
