Sharp-Shinned Hawks are also very "falcon like", but the lack of color and detail in the pic makes it hard to determine what it is.

This is a Sparrow Hawk.

A Sharp-Shinned Hawk is also a bit larger than a Sparrow Hawk.

I have been bow hunting this fall and I see them flying fast really a treat how they maneuver thru the trees. Mother nature at her best.
I'd bet it's a Sharp-Shinned Hawk. That's how they hunt. Sparrow Hawks tend to hunt more open ground.
I've had Sharp-Shinned Hawks hunting and landing in trees nearby while I was in my tree-stands. One kept coming back, and it even chirped at me a few times, like he was talking to me. It was really neat!

I was out in one of my stands it was so silent no littlebirds no deer and just a couple of squirrels . No yellow jackets kinda nice . Even 12 ft up they have been buzzing me . Nasty little wasps. No wind just silence.

Beware...hungry Blue Jay stalking Honey Badgers.

Was not deer hunting but Saw a small bird fast flight . I would assume birds and squirrels are there quarry .
