didn't get to do much detecting this week, work got in the way.....got out this afternoon for a few hours here and there...the here part was at a foreclosed house behind mine, where i found the 1942 merc next to the driveway....the there part was at a local park, while working the sidewalk edge,I dug up the SMALL 925 ring that i thought was a spacer/washer at first,a SMALL glove, that i thought might be gold(NOT),and a SMALL 925 charm/pendent..I was using the 705 w/9" concentric coil...
I've had the 705 for 6 weeks now, made the first payment last week, could have made it in found change....
along with the 78.63 in coins,I dug up,2 mercs,5 rings(4 silver/1 junk)4 bracelets(3 junk/1 gold)1 silver 20" chain, and a plethora of odds and ends...Thinking of ordering a 6" DD 18.75 coil this week.i have the 5x10 elliptical that came with the 705 gold, and the 9" concentric that came with the X30....read alot about the DD coils being so good at coin and small jewelry, although the 9" has preformed very well,i want to try different coils, something i couldn't do with the X30....

Nice finds Bob. Can't wait for a break from work to use mine some more. Weather has actually been ok (in PA)

Been using the 9"concentric most of the time, but use the 5x10 when letting friends use the X30....don't see much difference in the two/finds are equal, tried both on the same stretch of sidewalk, not digging till i had run both coils over same length of walk, marked possible targets on walk with chalk, and found that both coils hit on the same targets that had been marked..

Those are some nice finds. Looks like you may pay for it in change before long!

ordered the 6" DD from Kco today at lunch....should have it tomorrow/looking forward to using it in previous detected areas...

I am thinking about getting a small coil as well. To help with target separation. Some of the places I hunt have ALOT of close targets. Probably missing goodies. Let us know how it works for you.

You're off to a great start. And you made a good choice with the 6-inch DD coil. It provides excellent separation and surprising depth. It's my go-to coil in congested areas. When you take delivery, go back over those same sites and let us know what you find. HH Randy
