Hi Andy,

I picked up an EXcellerator 4 x 7" elliptical coil from Kellyco in Florida, and I have to say it really makes it easier to pinpoint with this smaller coil in a trashy area. There is not really that much of a loss of depth using this particular brand. I just picked a 1939 Wheat Cent at 6 1/2" yesterday using this coil.

Hope this helps you!

Happy Hunting To You!

Barry.

Andy,

I like using the Joey coil on my Quattro. Makes for a much better balanced unit that I can swing all day if desired.

Coil footprint is just over 5 1/4" x 9 1/2". Seems to go ever bit as deep as the small Minelab DD coil but is lighter.

Hope this helps,

Keith

I also use the Joey coil on my Quattro and have been happy with the results. In fact I find I use it a lot more than the stock coil due to the lighter weight.
John
