Smoky Quartz found in Garner, NC

Nice one. I'd be doing some more hunting in that area. Bound to be some other pegmatite minerals around in addition to the large qtz.
 
I don't know what pegmatite minerals are but I will look it up. I love arrowheads too. We moved to Garner in Jan and it is fun to explore the geology.

I think that is the site off of Hwy 98, above Falls Lake. I went there in the mid 90's and kept some garnet samples that I have to this day. Thanks for sharing.
