Dug this awhile back, just need someone to tell me what garment this would have come off. Thinking WW2 era, it appears to be a snap button but to what.
Thx
Pics are best I could take…..

As small as it is I would say it's from a hat band

Ok, I did find a full size GAB last year up on campus, it was black in color and in super condition. This was found in a totally different place but I will definitely keep it and put it in the military button box!!! Who knows maybe some guy lost both buttons 🤷‍♂️
Thanks for the thoughts and maybe I will never know for sure until someone gets hands on with it.

I need to correct myself on your first button. It is not 1902-1910 but 1910 to 1927. That's the best I can do given its condition

I dont have anything that I can take “exact” mm measurements so went to the reloading bench!
.890 exact, back says “jewelers products corp” across the top and “prov. r.i.” across the bottom.

I was asking for measurements on the button without a back.

Not sure how????? Top is attached to back so all I can do is edge to edge? This is new for me so bear with me…..
Wait, the smaller one…… hang on!
When you said first one I thought you meant the black one as first one I found…..

From top to bottom (as you look at design) .605
From side to side .610

That would convert to about 16mm which is right for a cuff, vest or hat button. And, for your information buttons are measured in mms. Don't ask me why!
