But after watching the weather this week and today Arizona and Texas and South Carolina and a lot of southern states and Virgina are getting some of the same weather i have and are sitting at home and cant go metal detecting sorry:nopity::spin::cry::angel:Ok i know i shouldn't be like that so i hope it clears up soon for all of us :detecting:in the U.S.This might liven the board up.

Yeah, tell Canada to keep their weather up there, lol.
It seems all winter long its been either raining or to cold to get out down here. We had spring like days last week, but the places I go to are very very muddy. I got desparate and hit a tot lot or two. Weve had a lot of rain for the past six months and are under a constant flood warning, levy system is saturated since late fall.
Its never been like this, usually all of our rivers and bayous are flooded in late winter and spring but this year we had a lot of rain in late fall and the flood waters seem to hang around. The US Army Corps of Engineers has been very busy, seems each time the river drops a bit, banks go along with it, never seen it this bad.
Just think, your snow, will end up down here this spring bringing us more water, lol.
So, you see, its just weather and aint nuthin to do about it cept complain and surf the boards, lol.
Best,
John

I was just trying to see if i get a lot of response from down south were every one walks around in t shirts all year?Forum was kind of quite and i have cabin fever.Well post some pics if you get out i like to look at what everyone else is finding.Oh i guess some where in Florida it cold and there is a ton of sharks in 2 feet of water so you cant surf hunt.No sharks here

Well here in columbia sc its rainy cold and I just got back from shopping with the wife Helppppppppppp:beers: so i think ill have a beer and watch some old Metal Detecting DVDs I moved here from NY to get away from the snow oh well can't have everything or can I:biggrin:

Alot of the stuff I have seen posted lately has been from Canada!! Maybe I'm just not tough enough. The snow is about gone again here, so if I get a day off, that the temperature gets above 40, I'm gonna go whether the ground is frozen or not. I have some new sites lined up (farm ground) that nobody will care if the hole isn't filled perfectly.

I got out a couple weeks ago went in the 40s found a ring snow had melted the ground was not frozen muddy though. Now its in the 20s went in the yard yesterdays to try a program out my fingers started to freeze up at a little bit.If you go and find something post some pics.:detecting:

On tv weather it seems some parts of Carolinas are getting hit with snow .Thought you got away from all that. But were you are at it will clear up soon and you will be out again we have about 8 more weeks or less i hope till it stars to go to 50s.Hope it changes this year and it get warm now and stys that way:detecting:

Global warming to come here iam going to buy beach property for tourist and start to grow pineapple trees.Still waiting and waiting and waiting:rofl:

Yeah i should have stayed up north, it followed me down here:veryangry:

It seems like it follow everybody everywhere. If not snow heavy rain but were it rains it is usually warm. Were it snow it colds you cant hunt and you get a heavy heating bill.Hope somebody gets out and post some pics.

Hi all, I really can't stand the cold weather, but it's better than getting bit by a SHARK. A sail-boarder just lost his leg and life here near my home when he bled to death after getting bitten by a shark. If you thrash around in the ocean (like the surfurs do) they are hunters and don't know the difference and you're just food to them.
They just had a memorial yesterday (02/07/10),where of all places there are now hundreds of sharks at the spot that he was eaten. Go figure. Oh yeah, it's in the high 40's here this AM. KC Burrrr Hope you guys don't freeze up there. HH anyway, when you can.

floridason, :usaa: retired

I think i seen that on the news he was kite surfing. Also seen a pic of all the shark off of Florida. 40 is still warmer than here it is in low 20s here .Good luck hunting
