..off detecting I went.
Was heading to a site I and others have pounded before. Just wanted to get out. On the way there is a site in a farm field that used to be a one room school site. It has always been overgrown and looked hard to detect. When I passed it today. It was cleared out pretty good and looked inviting. Went and recieved permission from the owners of the land then started detecting.
Found the stuff below. Was more than I expected for the day. Fun last day of the year out.

Its appropriate that I end the season with a Canadian coin. Founs a lot of Canadian coins this year. Man, I thought it was a large cent when I first dug it.

This is the best find of the day. A civil war token. Look at the goofy dude on the front. I love it. Strange that it has the date on both sides. I also love it because its the 3rd one I have found with my home town on it, Jackson.

Any ideas on this thing? The patent is old.

Wasn't expecting to get out at all during the time I had off from work so it was a fun morning. Jim

is a sewing machine company. not sure what that piece was used for though.

I don't know specifically what piece this is, but it appears to have come from an old sewing machine made by Grover and Baker Sewing Machine Company of that era. HH Randy

is probably up there in R value. I've never seen that face before. I'll check out my token book and let you know

..you and Troy get out since I talked with ya last? Haven't heard from Him in awhile.
We will have to hit some old homes around the area come spring. Jim
