No harm in trying. I sure would like to see the reaction of the people on the beach. Below is a preview of what you would look like. Please take some pictures. :rofl::rofl:.
 
This is where my thinking is going. We get enough stares and attention as it is, let alone being out there with sandshoes. I mean, all them hotties will stop flocking to you if you do that!
 
Lets see ...

Rubber boots mounted in snow shoes, Head lamp,
scoop, hip mounted soverign, coil.

They might call someone.:confused:
 
Sand is much more supportive than snow.
Maybe if one put a bolt through the heal
of a tennis shoe and mounted it on a 4" circle of plywood.
At least your heal wouldn't sink on every step.

Someone must have done this before?

Or something that isn't too odd looking.
 
Ho wabout a pair of really wide soled sandals? Then when they fill with sand, as they invariably will, you can just shake em out and move on.
