I had nothing but bad luck since I've received mine, meaning it has either rained cats & dogs or was sooo hot & humid I can't get out to give it a good try. What I did find out it does seem to be a pretty good machine. Was really impressed by my very first deep target (to me deep anyway) I found A Mo. tax token guessing to be about 7 inches deep cause when I was digging I baried the Leashe cutting a half moon circle grabbed the PP says it's still in the bottom of the hole, took out about 2 more inches & there it was in the last dig. Detector showed all bars on depth guage rang between 67 & 68 constant. Thought I had my first deep coin but maybe next time I'm able to get out. I'm sorry it's no more imfo than this, but so far impressed. If you go over to Friendly Forum & look-up BBGal's F44 info she tells a lot more than I can right now. Hope this helps some.

I've had my F44 for about a month now and am very happy with it. It's better than I thought it would be. It has a lot of nice features, and the custom mode allows you to set tones for every category. The build quality is good also. I use it mainly for water hunting, as that's all I'm gonna do in 100 degree heat. It's very stable in fresh water creeks if you don't try to run it too hot. I run the sensitivity at 14 and I've made some good finds without having to spend double for a water machine. I've dunked it a few times and have experienced no leaks. In comparing it to the Omega, which I love, I would say it's more stable with close to the same depth. The recovery speed is pretty good, but not as good as the F19. Knowing what I know, I'd buy it again. Much better detector than any $300 detector I've owned.

F44 is a great machine, the custom mode for audio is my best option. The audio can move the high tone to any spot on the machine which helps you hear the gold out loud on the beach.

Hey Jack; Tried to send you a PM about your post.. says you are ineligible to receive messages.. Can I contact you thru email possibly??

Bottom line, it's a great machine at $300. Is it "worth it"? Yes, it's worth $300, and then some. It's not an F19, F75, Etrac, CTX, and the like, and doesn't claim to be. If you're looking for that kind of performance, it's not "worth it". And that's as honest as I can be.
