I know Dave had a hand in the X5 but it was designed to Troy's specifications.

X5.. small iron disc was either on or off no inbetween if you want to dig small jewelry you have to dig nails and bobby pins.

G2.. if it has iron resolution of the T2 / Omega and with the sliding tone break it should be killer.

Let the depth wars begin!

With all of the reports in, it has exceded my experience with the Troy X5.............:teknetics:

The G2 is very easy to hunt with in nails and other iron. The low tone grunt is not harsh on the ears even with sensitivity on 100. THe X5 was a little deeper but was not a joy to hunt with like the G2.

The X5 works in Culpepper. Nuff said.

I have both seperation I would give to the G2. The X5 has better depth in my soil for sure. The G2 is not a real deep detector but runs quite and is real sensitive to small low conductive targets.

when you indicate it is NOT as deep as the x-5..can you be more specific as to ACTUAL depth you ARE seeing with the g-2,AND the x-5?
approximate,of course!..thanks!
