I know God has plans but as for this world...the Unemployment was denied.

We had a great day the day before yesterday. Did some grilling on the stove outside, had Mom-n-law over, had Leelan with us and we went wandering around the lake to see people fishing. The bluegill and crappie are in the canals and people having a great time catching them. I took little Leelan down so he could see all the people and the little fishies. I fish but unfortunately the license expired Mar 31 and of course the fish start biting the next day. With no income at all now couldn't even get a license to put some fish on our table.

This was a good thing I think. I wrote to the head of the Department of Natural Resources (the licensing people for fishing, hunting, etc,).
I suggested for those who fish and are in no position to buy a license (a basic - no frills like trout, etc. license is $15 plus a dollar for some 'sport card') that if the State would consider those who are getting food assistance could use their 'Bridge Card' for a one time purchase of a fishing license that would be helpful to many people who fish. A similar thing might be considered for those who hunt.

That was the idea that came out of this. Monday Sherry is to start her seasonal job doing scheduling for the pest control company that she has been with for over 8 maybe 9 years now. Won't make us rich hahaha but should help pay some bills. Monday I go to see if I qualify for the No Worked Left Behind program and then go from there.

Well back to the online hunt for jobs. God bless.

Oh BTW little Leelan will be 1 year old in a few days YEAH!!!

What day is Leelan's B-day?
Hang in there Buddy, God has a perfect plan.

Pete, God always provides for us. I have been in your situation and did not know what to do, but God was faithful in His promise.

Keep faith in Jesus, Pete, for He never leaves, forsakes nor fails us! Our Heavenly Father will provide! Grrrrrr! A license for this and a license for that......when will the Gov't get their noses out of what so many people like to do and brings no harm to anyone, when using Common Sense.....even in hunting and fishing!  No fishing license is needed here in MO for Senior Citizens! I don't know if that includes those of 50 plus ages or not, but you could check into it, soooo you could go fishing if you don't need one at your age! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

they have to pay $6 for a license. Michigan military people - residing in another state - when they come home on leave are allowed to fish for - hmm was free 0 now they have to pay $1.

If you are in the military in Michigan and are a Michigan resident you are no different than anyone else and have to spent $15 for a license and an extra dollar for the 'card thingy'. Still not sure what that is but if one still has his from the previous year then ya don't have to pay that extra dollar.

If I wanted to fish for all species that is $28 for me (under 65) and $11.20 for seniors.

We have DNR people all over this town so it does not pay to try to fish without a license.

Yes, City, State & Federal Gov't get you coming and going.....they are never satisfied and want more and more monies to fill govt's bottomless pockets and they think ours are filled up to the heavens! May God Bless! Amen! I may be wrong on the info on Senior Citizens, as I never buy a fishing license....I'll have to ask my sister, as she and her hubby like to go fishing when he is able to do so! Ma Betty

I'm sorry
