So where does the new Outlaw fit in????

Ivan

New member
Is it better than what's aready in the lineup? Are there any new features??? Is there any new technology...if so can anyone explain what it is? What are the new features? Does including 3 coils make it a "new" detector? How is this detector an improvement over detectors that are currently in the line up? I just don't get it....................to me this new detector introduction after an eight year wait is an non-event. Help me out , tell me what I'm missing. All advice is apreciated...thanks.

Your questions were,

A No

The Outlaw is like the Bandido, we have been told that it was made for the new guys who are just starting out in detecting and with it's 3 search heads to choose from, it will be suitable for any site that we want to detect on.

I can see from your post that your upset just like many other loyal Tesoro users who wanted a new detector, but what i can't understand is why have you guys been so quiet for so long, I have voiced my opinion on the revamping of Tesoro detectors in the past and have been shot down. I personally think that a new guy who is just starting out in detecting will look at the Silver umax or the Cibola with a second hand smaller coil before looking at the Outlaw. but that's me.

Robert has apologised to us for not making a new TDI detector,( but for the life of me i can't see why any one would want one of them nasty things as they all lie as the deeper the target goes the different the TDI reading reads) Have fun and be happy, we all feel better after a good rant. I think Tesoro's choice to go with the Outlaw as is says a lot about the company. They have a new machine comparable to the old Bandido series and a nice set of 3 different coils to use with it. They know that their detectors still hunt with the newer technology and still finds the loot and their American made brand still has the top warranty / service in the market. I don't see where they should feel an apology is in order in any way.
Thanks Tesoro for hanging in as one of the best.

You got that right.

I own and have used a lot of different detectors. I grabbed the Tesoro Bandido II uMax for my morning hunt. Why? It's the best all round detector that I've ever used.

It's a Silver umax w/gb INMHO, so right between the Silver umax and Vaquero
Thats a good way to put it, in my opinion it is inbetween the Silver

Hi Les,I tend to agree with your thoughts, as well as the other folks too, and believe Tesoro not only holds' its' own in the modern detecting world, but in many ways excells all others. Warranty/ Service/Reliability/Build Quality/Versitility(especially coils)Pric,Weight(first feather weight)etc.and plenty more has gathered Tesoro what some like to call a "Cult" following. Well, if that ain't a Great Indorsement, I would simply have to reply with a Big"DUH"! Dang right, and whatever comes our way, we Tesoro folks have plenty reason to be some Happy Campers, and thats a fact! New Guys come and old guys go, but "them old Tesoros" keep going from one generation of digggers to the next. "Outlaw "will prove itself to some sooner than to others, but it is a great buy not only for folks just getting started, but for those wanting to upgrade/combine the Outlaw and its' coils with other

I agree Charles 100%!!

i dont own a tesoro, so i feel that the outlaw is a great combo deal. i understand people wanting the new tech, but i feel that it is going to be great for tesoro as a company. its going to bring in new business that will hopefully profit them enough to go crazy on the design of a new machine. not to mention they get to clear out a lot of spare coils they hadnt sold and maybe even some multi purpose detector parts. if you people keep posting your finds and stories and bragging about the LIFETIME warranty, then tesoro is going to have plenty of capital to work with on they next machine

i will have one eventually. the infinium is next on my list, but i think the outlaw is going to be after that

Good post Robert. With all the good things I read about Tesero I might even try one some day :poke::rofl:

I own my own contracting business and have grown at least 10% a year for the last 25 years. I never, never knock the competition. Sounds a little like envy.

I'm a Tesoro red leg ,I'm a die hard for sure I still have my silver umax that I had for years, I think your spot on, I like the golden umax it don't have a screen only tones and I love it, I found more coins yesterday at a old park that I've been hunting with a other brand, this golden umax whopped its butt on coins , thanks Robert for that great post, HH tigerhank68

I wasn't me! That's the truft! ROTFL!

Tesoro is listening in that some of my best Dectectors were older units. I really would trade even for an old Garrett Ground Hog like I used to have. It had features that none of the newer machines have.

My favorite machine right now is a Golden SaberII. It does not work very deep but it has tones, notch, and Hunts real quiet. Found some really good coins yesterday with it while leaving my Deleon sitting.

In fact I just traded my Deleon for a Cortez. Hopefully it will be a upgraded version of the Golden Saber II.

Tesoro is a damn good company, with damn good people and they make a damn good product. If the Outlaw is modeled after the Tesoro Bandido or Bandido II, it
