Some early season finds

Parks have thawed enough to dig so out I went for out for a quick 90 minute hunt today. In the same area where I dug four 1864 two cent pieces last year, lightning struck again when I dug another 1864 two cent piece. When I stuck the probe back in the hole, I got another good hit and pulled out an 1870 indian head cent. A few minutes later I dug the crusty shield nickel. A good start to the new detecting year.
