The Dream Connection called yesterday afternoon to ask if this evening would be a good time to fulfill his dream. So....I asked Brian.
YES!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!! Can't they come tonight?? YES!!!!!
I think he was excited...and so are we. It will be a long day at work today, I can't wait to see his reaction.
He has always wanted to go to Disney World and Universal Studios but with his pain he really couldn't enjoy it. They asked him to name three things he would like to have and he told them his choices and we will find out which one they chose for him tonight.
A couple of weeks ago Brian asked me why God was letting this happen to him. Why did he have to suffer so much...he was really down. The only answer I could give was...I don't know. I explained to him that all we can do is use this to somehow give glory to God, to let His light shine through all of this. There are so many burdens associated with the challenges we've faced the last 14 years and lately those burdens have multiplied. We have and will face these challenges together, as a family, and we know where our strength to face these battles comes from.
Last week, God gave Brian an answer to what his purpose was. He sent a messager to tell Brian that his life had a purpose and what that purpose was. I'll explain further in an upcoming post once I get time to put some thoughts together.
