First off all Ive done with this so far is ocean beach hunt, dry and wet sand. GB comes in around 35 on the dry sand and averages about 10 on the wet sand.
A couple of things Ive not figured out yet: occasionally a plus sign comes up on the screen when I get a signal, any idea what that means?
Something else is I will get a weak signal and no ID at all, and Ive dug a bunch of these and always there is something there, its not falsing, just like its to deep to give any kind of an ID?
Small iron fools me still with those 7, 8 and 9 ID readings and yes you have to dig those if you want the smaller gold items, Ive already checked against my gold. any tips on that would be appreciated.
I mostly run in all metal since I like it to be as hot as possible, as deep seeking as possible. dry sand I can usually get the sens to about 80 and its pretty smooth and wet sand Ive got to back down to between 60 and 70.
I like the speed of the machine between targets, the excellent ID, the backlight feature, the light weight and the multiple ways you can set it up.
I dont care for the grip which cramps my hand, I think a straight grip would be better and honestly think that will be a nightmare when I have to start wearing gloves once the weather gets colder. I also dont like that it takes two hands to adjust it and would much rather see some touch pads, something to make shifting between modes or making any adjustments a simple one handed operation.
Also, does anyone know what is the point of not being able to fastgrab GB below 40? Its a feature I cant use on the beach.
I have made some very deep finds with it. No gold yet but from the deep tabs and foil Im digging I know it will be excellent for jewelry, which is why I bought it.
Thanks much,
Neil
