some F75 questions

Mines not either....I have never seen the + sign..Mine also doesn't seem to have the chattery noise level except at a couple of High Schools...
If i crank the sense up to 90 I can hear the machine..but thats so on any detector..

If you are in ankle deep water it will give any detector fits, including P.I.'s.
Get the loop completely under all the time and it comes alive.

The F75 is not Specifically designed for top performance in salt water, but can be used. ( Fisher metal Detectors words)

Set the sesitivity in both modes All metal, and Discrimination to (LESS) than 30
Ground balance the machine in motion all metal manually

SEARCH IN THE DISCRIMINATION MODE...with a discrimination setting higher than 25

The above is the engineer recommended means of hunting salt water beaches, and wading salt water areas...

Give it a try and let us know how it worked... Thanks

Its what i did and switched back and forth between AM and Disc mode. Worked fine. I do have a CZ-21 comming my way though. Alot of shoreline where i live.

Thanks for the info. I havent noticed anything wrong with it, seems to function properly with that plus sign there and it doesnt last all that long. I would guess its trying to put up some ID but theres not enough signal to do so.

I just got it back as I had sent it in to get the backlight fixed so it aint going back for that glitch. BTW Fisher service was excellent, fast and easy enough to reach someone on the phone and talk with.

I will check that setting first against some gold I have but that sounds like to much disc to me, sounds like just below a nickel if I remember right. The numbers I havent gotten down pat yet, still use to the numbers on my Xterra, where a nickel is 12 on that.

I will check it though on the beach to see how smooth it actually runs.

Thanks much,
Neil
