Some finds in order of monetary value..

Got out for a short bit and hit one the old fields nearby before the grass gets too tall. Not a lot of trash there so it is pretty much a dig all area with the exception of old iron. Classy vintage pull ring, bail weight that is probably 1800's and early 1800's half penny based off the size and thickness.

If we go back a couple hundred years I think we could read the date and it would look way better....
Coppers here get roasted in our soil.
 
I don't know why, but I love finding bail seals. Maybe it's because like tokens, the ID are generally unique to the area.
I was hunting down in NC a few weeks ago and the soil there really toasted the coppers.
 
Rich farmland will roast coppers. I have found coppers are generally in better condition on top of hills and slopes where the soil is usually dryer and less mineralized. Targets also tend to run shallower in poorer soil because of less earthworm activity.
