Plasti Dip is actually a rubber coating that you can dip tool handles and such in. Think its available at NAPA. I dont expect I'll find much in the way of silver at the tot lots, but at the older parks a "softer" digger would be good.
Ken.

The coins that I target and know are shallow I usually will use the probe to wrestle them out of the grass roots. If they are a bit deeper (1/2 to 1 1/2 inches) then I'll use the coin popper. Anything deeper than that I will end up digging a plug and sometimes a modified version of the plug.

If I can 'feel' it with my vibra-probe, then I know it aint gonna be a coin to worry much about in the parks around here so poppin' and/or probing is how I roll.
