was mentioning to the boss that running 'on behalf of the company' in my car might not be a good thing - first the high miles (over 216,000 miles on the van already) but mentoned we only have PL/PD so if I got into an accident while running errands for the boss my car insurance wouldn't cover anything. He said I am covered under his insurance - part of the hotel insurance I guess. I asked if he were going to pay for mileage as far as I knew he doesn't pay mileage for anyone...he informed me that on my last paycheck he included an extra $5 for gas (guess that helps cover the 18 miles I drove last pay period.
He did mention giving me a pay raise after 30 days but now 4 paychecks since being hired I am still at $7.40 an hour. He told me since I am his only maintenance guy now (the other one quit and is working at Super
that as long as I work and get things done he'd bump me up to $8.00 an hour (a 60 cent jump). We did some talking and think he feels pretty good about my work. I have received compliments from all the desk personnel and others working in the building as well. Getting more hours in now too.
Looks like on the home front we will be getting another minature pincher. The one we have is pretty cool. We are 'rescue-ing' the other dog tomorrow. His name is Pharoh. (Somehow that name sounds vaguely familiar
