Some more silver

Was able to get out after work again. I got a very small but good signal bouncing around with a good sound and the occasional 12-45,46 but with no consistency. I figured it was something good, so I dug a big deep plug. I scanned the plug and got a sweet beep from it. I brushed some dirt away and got a tone with my garrett PP. I flicked a little more dirt away an saw the hint of silver, and it was bigger than a dime. I was thinking o'boy because 90% of the coins I have found at this spot have been from the 1800's,or earlier. The large cent I got yesterday, the king george II I got on Sat, and the 2 cent pc I got last week, were all from this spot. Anyway, it ended up being a 1951 quarter. I am glad to have found it, but thought I had something a little older. I plopped the plug back in and re-scanned the hole and got a very faint weird signal. there was consistency there so I pulled the plug out and pin pointed. I got a beep in the side of the hole down about ten inches. I pulled out a little clump and PP'd in my hand. Out pops another silver quarter 1942. I slowed down a bit and swept around the hole side to side. About two feet away I got another faint, weird, but consistent signal I dug down and found a1952 rosie. I think it was a little pocket spill. The two balls in the pic are musket balls. the bigger one is Brown Bess size Thanks for looking, dan

Great job Dan! I cant believe how the silver comes up out of the ground for these machines, its kind of eerie.I have found eight silver dimes and two silver rings with mine in the past few weeks from places Ive hunted many times before with my DFX.I love my Etrac!

Hi Alex. I used to own a DFX too. I would give the nod to the Etrac. I was going to do another post on this subject. (before and after Etrac) I would like your imput. Dan

Way to go, Dan!
