Some Nice Finds From The Meadow Field

The coins are always in good shape from the Meadows, oldest coin today was a George 111 Half Penny,

a few Victorian Pennys, two Silver Sixpences, and the best find was the Victorian Florin, a Horse Brass,

another Doggie Disc, and the lid from a Snuff Tin. The other pennys are George V and Edward.

Thanks for Looking and H H Everyone.

Nice haul, Les! Those oldies are in beautiful condition, I wish ours came out that clean- I have to start with a chisel to see what it is.

Hi Willliam, I wash the copper coins in soap and warm water, then I

smear a little Vaseline on them it seems to bring out the patina on them.

Not all my sites produce coins in good condition, the copper coins from

the woods just crumble once they hit fresh air because of the acid formed

by the leaf mould, lucky to finish up with half a coin lol.

You take care and H H

Les.

Congrats on all your great finds! HH
