[attachment 8389 Image009.jpg]Hi Doc,
it means a lot to me to counted in this group of good people.
My streak continues with 1.5 more grams of socalsunshine and the pocket rocket is working great, so are the Coiltek coils. Found these with the joey mono.
On another note I want to say thank you, for the trouble you went through getting these Li batteries and regulators in our hands. Most people don't know all that went on behind the scenes from testing the prototypes to recalling the 1st sets that came out. I personally appreciate it and I know it would have been a lot easier and less expensive to discontinue it. I am so glad you didn't choose the easy way and truly believe that it will pay huge dividends in time. How can some one serious enough about prospecting to invest in the Minelab SD or GP and not incorporate this as their primary power supply? I predict they will in mass. Even those who are so brand and dealer loyal that they cannot see innovation when it is a load off their backs, literally. As I see it, more gold for me and less for them. Detecting with an SD or GP in comfort. Imagine that. Thanks again Doc.

Hello Doc,

Great pictures! However, why is everyone laughing in our picture? Someone pass GAS?

Take care,

Don't ask me, you guys were the ones drinking that night! You know my wife, she's never tasted a bad glass of wine in her life.

You're welcome and thanks for all the words of encouragement.

I agree with you, I can't imagine going back to a lead acid battery again. I realized last Thursday after 8 hours of detecting, that I did not have sore shoulders, nor the usual crink I get in my neck from the lead acid battery.

It truly is a load off.

Well, seeing your doing the family thing Doc. . .
Most of my prospecting mates are gun-shy, except Bluey, but he's away outback just now and as for the rest of them, hard to get them sober enough to stand up. Joking guys!
Here's my girls: Sha and Ma and Mum in Belguim I had to stay home and feed the chooks. . . some ratbag said they got their looks from their mother; no more Xmas cards.

Nice looking family ! How do us prospector types get so darn lucky!

[attachment 8697 P5290078600x450.jpg]I've been having some computer problems so am a little late in posting this.

I thought I'd put up this picture of some of the finest detectorists in N. Cal and Nevada. This was a gathering at Rye Patch this last spring to honor and put a memorial to our late friend Jim Williams. Jim was well known throughout the world of Whites detectors, but not known here because of an "alergy" to computers. But none of you would be what you are today without the input this little guy had to the world of detecting. There would not have been a Whites Goldmaster without him. I could go on and on about my mentor but it would not mean much to those who didn't know him.

Regardless, all of the people pictured here were greatly influenced and thier lives changed because of him.

From left to right... Mike Bowers, Hairy Gary, Lee ?, Randy Turner, JImmy Sierra, Greg Moscini, Robert Setzer, Jerry Culver, Reno Jim, Majuba Tom, Slopoke Bob, Sharp Rock Jerry, Jim French, Weimar Bob.

If any of you pass by his monument out there, stop for a moment and silently thank him for his contributions to your hobby.
