We hunted an old farm that had a Yankee camp on it. We got standing permission to hunt this place a few years ago, so it is always good for some finds.
Here is the old abandoned house on the property. This likely served as the headquarters for the Yankee commanders. This was our pre- hunt, hunt! :)

Here is one great find that came from right behind the house! Charlie found his first CW plate, an Eagle Breast Plate.

Next great find is Bill's 1858 O Seated Liberty Half Dollar (counter stamped on both sides)

Nothing better than helping others find their first relics. Here is Alex with his first two 3 ringers!

Jeanne with her first 3 ringer.

My finds from the farm.
15 - 69 cal. round balls, 2 - 3 ringers, a rivet, a brass final, 3 buck-n-balls, and a neat bone! :)

Love the pic of that old house

Up here in Connecticut ( mainly northern sections, there are loads of those types of houses still standing ..abandoned.. can see them just driving along the back roads...I should stop next time and hunt one...Oh, boy..the stuff I'm sure I would find!!

It's been a long time since I've seen a day like that!

Wow, that certainly must have been a thrill for those two! That looked like a fantastic place to hunt. Make the imagination go crazy picturing all the soldiers going in and out of that house. Very cool!
