First off, a couple of weeks ago I went to the beach. It was 15 degrees with a windchill well below zero. Everything was pretty sanded in but I did manage a little gold. The first was a broken piece of a gold bracelet. (I tried hard to find the rest of it :) )

Then I found this little Rolling Stones logo pendent. I can only make out a "K"... probably 10

Here's the total take for the day. The silver earring was an eyeball in a parking lot sticking out of the snow :)

Today was a good day. I took what's called a CLEP exam first thing this morning at my college... That's when you study on your own and take a College exam on a given subject; in my case it was Introductory Sociology. If you pass the exam, you get the College credits! (3 for my test). I didn't really study hard enough for this one but I actually PASSED! (barely but I get the credits). That saves me about $450 and about 4 or 5 months of school. Anyway, it was really nice out, so I decided to see if I could dig a little. I went to my silver ballfield found another Rosie!

and this honkin' silver ring. I thought it was junk at first because the band is split but it felt heavy and looked too good :) Turns out it was made by a Norwegian silver jewelry designer by the name of Elsa Berntsen (she passed away in 2002). Interesting huh?

It's made in Norway:
