Some Reviews on the F75 LTD & T2

Using the special BOOST and CACHE LOCATING processes:
In situations where vegetation or other obstacles make it impossible to sweep the searchcoil
close to the surface of the ground, use the enhanced sensitivity of either the Boost or Cache
Locating process to punch through the extra distance to the target. Under most such
conditions, the Boost process will provide the best balance of depth and response. The
Cache Locating process will punch through even more distance to the target, but response is
noticeably slower.
In the Boost and Cache Locating processes, if you sweep fast with the searchcoil close to the
ground, you will lose some target separation. This loss is most noticeable using the Cache
Locating process. Target separation in these processes is comparable to that of the default
process, provided that you slow down your sweep.
Some users, when fatigued after hours of searching, get sloppy with their sweep technique.
The Boost process is more tolerant of sloppy sweep technique than are the other processes
and may be preferred at these times.

Great post many thanks for the info.
How did you find the 75 and T2 for noise levels when compared to the original models?
I know it will depend on the chosen settings of the individual but for you in your conditions were they the same, slightly noisier, slightly quieter etc.
I am going to upgrade any time now and can't make my mind up what to go for.
I have just sold my F75 but will probably go for the new T2 as many in the UK say they thought original T2 was slightly better suited to our conditions, it's between that and the e trac.

Thanks.

I would like to say I am sorry but one of the people that tested the F75 wrote me and ask for me not to post his review..I only was trying to help you guys out because I didn't find any good reviews on this forum...I will have my new F75 LTD today and will do a youtube so I can share my findings and let you know if it lives up to the hype..I live in Calif so it will be a real good test. Again sorry if I upset a few of you hunters...or reviewers. By the way I got my detector from Clyed a great guy to work with very honest...

So you think mine was a bad review?

I did like your test I am sorry I didn't post it but I think it was on the forum I posted the other tests on...one guy got very upset I posted his test....so I will never buy a detector from him....your cool because you are on Nasa Toms forum

Lorenzo, I'm not upset or feel slighted at all but there are a few things you might want to be aware of or at least consider. First of all, with field testing, though it may appear to be really cool and maybe even enviable from a distance, it does represent a lot of work that those doing it do not take lightly. No one doing the testing wants to miss ANYTHING which is nearly impossible especially given the time frame. You also want to be totally fair and accurate to both the Company and objectively honest to those potential buyers that will be referring to your results. It involves many hours of travel and hunting time afield and then the hours involved answering questions. Point thus far is even though summary reports may only appear as several hundred words, it represents a lot of effort and as such each person will usually feel some degree of pride and ownership in it. As you've probably noticed, each tester may only post his report on one or a couple forums but no more. That may be simply a matter of that is where he or she hangs out exclusively, or they may not even be aware of other forums, perhaps even banned from a forum, and last but not least, may prefer not to post somewhere in particular due to valid personal reasons. If the latter is even a possibility, I can understand why it would be considerate and prudent to at least check with them first. Folks should at least have a right to feel however they do about where, how, and even if, they share the results of their work. I think it just falls under common courtesy and if nothing else, taking the time to check first, negates any possibility of what you experienced from happening. JMO.

I really was just trying to help I have my new LTD in my hand and it is cool and I am going to test it only as far as what it does in Calif soil and I don' t expect a lot just to help on the fringe targets that I may have missed....I will say that with the new F75 and the new gold machine they came out with...in my book Fisher is doing everything the right way...
