Some "serious new heat" has arrived .

I have no dog in the hunt or motive. I can still find relics and rings with a pie plate attached to broom handle.

No secret. The detector has been tested for the last eight months. I have dug some very deep targets in the wet salt. The beauty is you don't have to spend time digging zinc pennies. That alone is a plus. More time to dig rings. I come to Va. Beach allot. Your welcome to try it when the detector has been rolled out. I will contact you. Best regards, Tex

Why say anything unless it is the responses to your post you want. Sounds to me like the Erik Foster GS5 that Whites is building and testing now. Maybe Erik has put out a new improved GS5. If he has it sure should be one hell of a machine and I might even buy it. Will wait till Whites comes out with there Erik Foster Whites PI though to see what it will do first. Will call my buddy and find out since you want to play games. If you can't say anything about the new machine say that. Guess I am just too old to appreciate games. Back to lurking. All you guys are great on this forum and I love to see the Gold you all find. I don't post mine but that is my choice and there is a reason for it. :D: :D: HH Later, Jerry aka Tinfoil

I think I know what "the serious new heat " is

Check out this pic....that's it, isn't it!:hot:

Sounds good...I'll look forward to it.

Sorry I have to pile on to this post......am away on business, so boredom rules......I have been waiting, like some of you, for this machine to appear.......do some beach hunting, as well as nugget detecting in the deserts of CA so a machine based on the GS5 platform is of interest for both hunting areas.......I have seen a proto-type in action for a short time, and these are my observations:

* In the dry, the machine blows away the PI Pro on detection depth
* In the dry, the machine detected deep targets also heard by my GP 3000
* In the wet sand, the machine blows away the PI Pro on detection depth
* In the wet sand, the machine blows away the GP 3000 on detection depth, 'cause homey don't play down there with that beast

Rumor has it that the electronics of the proto-type are very heavy, making it a chore to work in the water, so the first machine to hit the market may not be waterproof
I just acquired a Infinium, so when my stint away from home is complete, I can take it to the beach and compare it with the GP 3000 for raw depth in the dry......hopefully, I will cross paths with the proto-type again on another round of testing.....then we shall see what is what......

I sure would like to read some of your stories. I know you have a bunch. I'd like to invite you to tell either us or those of us that base ourselves at Royal's 20th Century Story Forum. Either way, I'd sure like to hear an adventure or three.

...alls I found were a hundred uncovered holes and unrecovered trash--what creeps.

I did find a little clad, several fishing lures, sinkers and some interesting flint goodies and pottery schards (ms?) though, and one pair of sun glasses and one regular prescription glasses (by Lil' Brother). I have a friend who is an archeologist for NRCS and he will be tickled to receive the flint and pottery parts for inclusion into his collection.

(Save an Excal II for me Joe. I KNOW they don't play games) I'll be talkin' to you soon.

Whites Puls Master i hear??????????

No games have been played. Most naysayers won't spend the bucks required to purchase a better mouse trap. They will moan, complain, about something they know nothing about. One thing I do know. I won't have to dig anymore zinc pennies. With gold at over 900, that is a good thing. Best of luck know matter what machine you use.

Wow,
Looks like a giant squid got hold of him. Maybe he could open a sushi bar?
