Some Shallow Finds

These were found in a vacant lot in Jacksonville, detected with the owner's permission.

The square nail probably goes back to some houses that were built there in the 1880s and 1890s. It was about 4 inches down.

The non-metal items (the super ball and cigars wrapper) came up with some metal trash. Lots of bottle caps and pulltabs on the property.

That super ball really bounces -- just let it go and drop it from 6 feet, and it bounces back up to 5 feet.

Two cigars for 99c sounds like a good deal.

Cheers,

Joe

I remember SuperBalls!! Got one at a store downtown and went outside on sidewalk, bounced about as you described! Gave a pretty good throw down to see what it would do and not thinking about angles it came back up at about a 25 degree and and landed on the roof of a two story store across the street!!! Wonder if its still there...... naw, that was probably 50 years ago.
